East Tulsa Dui Checkpoint On August 13

East Tulsa DUI Checkpoint update: The Tulsa Police released a statement that a DUI Checkpoint will take place on August 13 in East Tulsa from 10:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. They will not release the exact location until shortly before the checkpoint, according to the Tulsa World.

The statement on the Tulsa Police Website reads as follows:

“The Tulsa Police Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint as part of the department’s continued commitment to reducing injuries, deaths and raising awareness about the dangers caused by alcohol and drug-impaired drivers. The checkpoint will be conducted on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. in East Tulsa. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol will also assist with the checkpoint.

This special enforcement is part of the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office “ENDUI” program. Overtime funding is being provided by the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office DUI Enforcement Grant.“
